This is one of first set of figures in my collection.

The EVA gashapon Best Collection is a set of gashapons from the previously released series (hence the name 'Best Collection'). Most of these new gashapons have a slightly different paint scheme than the previous versions so I guess you can call them 'variants'.

Rei and Asuka pair in their plugsuits and their school uniforms were previously released in the first Evangelion gashapon set (series 1). The paint on the plugsuit variants is much more glossy than the previous version. However, I can't see any difference between the two versions for the school uniform pair.

The swimsuits pair were previously released in the second Evangelion gashapon set (series 2). The Rei variant has a white gloss swimsuit rather than a pearl-white gloss. Asuka's bikinis remain the same as before- no change.

Asuka in her summer dress and Rei in her sailor uniform were previously released in the third Evangelion gashapon set (series 3). Both of them have different colour scheme than the previous ones: Asuka now has a green top (rather than pink) and Rei's sailor uniform is blue (rather than peach-coloured). Note: Asuka's hat is removeable.

I've just realised that my laptop monitor gives a slighly darker colour than the usual monitors. As a result, the photos, which have a good brightness/contrast level on my laptop monitor, will appear a bit too bright on other computers.

I have these figures as well. Quite well detailed for little figures.

yeah, Bandai usually does a decent job with gashapons. The newer sets are improving alot as well.
