Right, it's been a while since I wrote an entry- been busy and all. Anyway, here is another set of figures from the classic anime/manga Hokuto no Ken. It's a 5-pieces trading figure set by Kaiyodo based on the movie. I haven't got to watch any Fist of the North Star OVAs or movies but the quality of the figures were really good so I decided to get them (see here). To be precise, I was really impressed by the details of Raoh's armour and the quality of the paint-job.

The 5 characters are: Kenshiro, Raoh, Yuria, Souther, and Shou. I think they could've done Yuria a bit better, especially her eyes. Her eyes need to be more soft and compassionate, like her character. Souther looks pretty good- his eyes and expression were spot on but one problem which I don't like is that his cloak is made from 101 pieces, spoiling the figure with these ugly joint lines. Another than the above 'glitches', this set of trading figures is really well-made with good details and finishing.

EDIT: Scavenger from Figure FM told me that the Yuria figure is in fact Reina. No wonder she doesn't look like Yuria! hehe. Anyway, from wikipedia, she's Raoh's childhood friend and one of his generals.
